Canned Food Drive

November 17-24th   This school wide community service project  is sponsored by the Student Council and Peer Helpers. The school is collecting food for the Lowes Foods  Friends Helping Friends Food Drive . Collected food is distributed to local charities. Students can begin bringing in cans of food. Our school goal is 2500 lbs; each student is encouraged to bring in 5 lbs of food. If you can't send in 5 lbs of canned food, please send what you can. 

All homerooms meeting their goal will have an ice cream party.

The homeroom that brings in the most lbs. will receive a Christmas / Pizza party sponsored by the Peer Helpers.

SchoolCenter Picture   Congratulations to Mrs. Everhardt and Mrs. Fox , who were awarded a $903.00 Bright Ideas Grant from Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation. The grant will be used to teach students about sustainable energy resources. These two teachers do an outstanding job with WLMS' Project Lead the Way program. They will incorporate hands on activities regarding renewable and sustainable energy into this technology program. Please take a moment and congratulate Mrs. Everhardt and Mrs. Fox for receiving the Bright Ideas Grant.

We are committed to helping children be successful learners and be responsible citizens. The adolescent age group experiences inherent problems and unique challenges that confront today's youth. William Lenoir Middle School strives to meet the challenges each child brings by providing a safe and secure environment for the student's intellectual as well as emotional, social, and physical development.
