Traffic Annoucement

Dear WLMS Families,

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to make you aware of an important change to our bus dismissal procedures.

Beginning this school year, WLMS buses will leave campus via Wildcat Trail and the Highway 64 roundabout. To help ensure a safe and efficient dismissal, the following procedures will be in place:

  • A barrier will be placed at Treeline Drive while buses are preparing to leave campus. This will prevent vehicles from entering the WLMS campus during bus dismissal.
  • The WLMS traffic circle in front of the school must remain clear while buses are exiting.
  • Once all buses have left campus, the barrier will be removed and vehicles will be permitted to enter the traffic circle.
  • Additional WLMS staff will be outside during the first few weeks of school to assist families and help everyone become familiar with the new procedures.

We understand that changes to traffic patterns can take some time to become familiar. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we work together to make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.

🚍 A Friendly Reminder

Please follow the directions of WLMS staff and keep the Highway 64 roundabout clear of traffic while buses are exiting. Your cooperation will help our buses leave campus safely and keep traffic moving for everyone.

Thank you for helping us make WLMS a safe place for all of our Wildcats! 🐾

Metal Detectors at Athletic Events

Dear Students, Parents, Staff, and Community members,

In our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our school community, we are introducing the use of metal detectors at high school athletic events. This proactive measure, being introduced county-wide, aims to create a safe environment where everyone can enjoy the games and activities with peace of mind.

The metal detectors will be in place at all entry points, and we appreciate your cooperation as we implement this new proceduree. Please allow extra time for security checks as you arrive, and remember that this initiative is designed with your safety as our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding and support in making our events secure and enjoyable for all.
